Abstract: The glass transition temperature (Tg) plays a critical role in determining the mechanical properties of prepreg composites, directly influencing stiffness, toughness, and thermal stability. This study investigates the effects of key cure parameters: out time and cure temperature on the Tg of a selected prepreg materials. Utilizing an encapsulated specimen rheometer, compliant with ASTM D7750, detailed rheological analysis is conducted, with Tg serving as an indicator of crosslinking and polymer chain mobility, which are directly correlated to the final mechanical performance of the cured product. Variations in cure conditions are shown to significantly impact Tg.
